Terms of service
The agreement between Red Taverns and your district. We have kept it short and in plain words.
Last updated 6 August 2026
Who we are
Red Vote is made by Red Taverns. You can reach us at vote@taverns.red.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who act as the merchant of record. Your purchase is made through Paddle, and Paddle’s own terms apply to the transaction itself.
What you are buying
A subscription for one district to use Red Vote for a year: registration, credentials, quorum, live voting, results and the audit record. The price is US$199 per district per year, plus any tax Paddle collects for your location.
There is no limit on the number of meetings, members or voters in a district.
Your account and your members
You are responsible for who you invite as an administrator of your district, and for the accuracy of the member and club data you upload. Voting links are credentials — treat them the way you would treat a ballot.
Use Red Vote for running your own organisation’s business. Do not use it to break the law, to attack the service, or to try to reach another district’s data.
What we promise
We will run the service with reasonable care and keep your district’s data separate from every other district’s. We will tell you if something goes wrong that affects your meeting or your data.
We do not promise the service will never be unavailable. If we have a serious outage during one of your meetings, tell us and we will make it right.
What the results mean
Red Vote records and tallies the votes your meeting casts, and produces a tamper-evident audit record of them. It does not decide whether your meeting was properly constituted, whether your rules were followed, or whether a motion was valid. Those remain your organisation’s decisions.
Cancelling, refunds and ending the agreement
You can cancel any time and you keep Red Vote until the end of the year you paid for. Full details are on the refunds and cancellation page.
We may end the agreement if a district uses Red Vote to break the law or to attack the service. If we do that without cause, we refund the unused part of your year.
Limits
Except where the law does not allow us to limit it, our total liability to you for anything connected with Red Vote is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose.
Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be signed away.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email the administrators of every active district before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If we end up in a dispute we cannot settle between us, the courts of Ontario will hear it.
